About Stephanie
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re seeking support for your child, your family, or yourself during an already vulnerable time. My goal is to make that step feel steadier, clearer, and grounded in trust.

I am a Master’s-level psychologist in Louisville, Kentucky, with nearly two decades of experience supporting infants, young children, adolescents, parents, and families through emotional, developmental, and relational challenges. My work is rooted in understanding how early experiences, relationships, and transitions shape emotional health across the lifespan. I specialize in early childhood mental health (birth to age five), attachment and bonding, childhood trauma, and perinatal mental health, while also working with older children, teens, and families navigating a wide range of concerns.

I earned my M.A. in General Psychology from the University of Louisville and my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. During my graduate training, I focused on developmental disabilities, early childhood mental health, and adolescents in residential treatment settings. After graduating, I spent nine years in a community mental health center providing evidence-based care to diverse populations. It was during this time that I pursued advanced training in trauma, attachment, early childhood mental health, and postpartum support, and fully committed my work to these areas.
Therapy with me is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each family’s unique story. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Treatment is guided by development, relationships, and what feels most supportive for each individual and family.
For young children, therapy is play-based and relationship-focused, with caregivers actively involved.
For older children, adolescents, and parents, therapy offers a space to understand emotions, build regulation skills, and strengthen connection and confidence.
In addition to clinical work, I am a credentialed trainer in the state of Kentucky and regularly work with childcare centers to support emotional and behavioral health in early learning environments. I have presented at statewide conferences, including the Early Childhood Institute, the Behavior Institute, Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, and the Ready Kids Conference. I am a state-certified trainer in Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma, Substance Exposed Infants, Strengthening Families, and Connect the Dots, and I have provided training on maternal and parental mental health, early childhood trauma, and development for medical, foster care, and early education professionals.
I am a member of the Kentucky Psychological Association, Postpartum Support International, Zero to Three, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, and EMDRIA. I am also involved with local nonprofits, including Home of the Innocents and Postpartum Support International–Kentucky, and am a Child-Parent Psychotherapy–trained clinician.
Outside of work, I am a parent myself. My husband, Brian, and I have two daughters who keep us busy, grounded, and constantly learning. Being a parent deeply informs how I approach therapy with families, with empathy for the real-world complexities of raising children and caring for ourselves along the way.
